This site is dedicated to helping you to travel light. Life doesn’t have to be a big long hike with a bag weighing you down that’s larger than yourself. All our “baggage” (emotional, physical, mental and spiritual) we’re carrying on our journey is against the natural flow of life. This weight on our shoulders makes our journey extremely challenging, exhausting and painful, which ultimately robs us of enjoying a life filled with of passion and joy.

Tragically, we have forgotten who we are. We add years to our life, but not life to our years. We are over-educated and under-informed. We have conquered outer space, but have lost inner space. We have more medicine and prophets, but less wellness and sanity. We have become addicted to noise and speed, but long for the silence and wisdom that restore our souls.

The more we let go of the things that do not serve us, the lighter our journey becomes. The more we are aligned with the natural flow of life, the less effort everything takes. The more we connect with our true essence, the more purpose and joy we experience.

I have received very ancient tools and extensive training to help you lighten this load by assisting you to discover those aspects of your true self that got lost along the way. I have used these healings to transform many people’s lives and it would be my privilege to share them with you.

Hi, I’m Carissa.

Professionally I am an admitted attorney in the High Court of South-Africa and hold a B.Acc.LLB (Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Bachelors Degree in Law) and a LLM (Masters degree in Law) from the University of Stellenbosch. I’ve been specialising in the fiduciary and financial services industry for almost 10 years, although I’ve been exposed to various fields of law including criminal and civil litigation, intellectual property law, family law, taxation, financial services and business rescue practice.

I’ve been searching for a more meaningful life since I was a little girl. Being only an attorney satisfied my mind to some extent, but never my heart or soul. For most of my life I’ve been looking for answers outside of myself, not realising that everything I need is already within me. I’ve come to realise that the only way for me to change the world, is to start with the woman in the mirror and to encourage others to do the same.

If you knew (consciously) who you really were, you would be unstoppable in creating a life you truly desired. My deepest desire for you is to have the courage to let go of all the things in the way of embodying your greatness and Divine Self with purpose and passion.

Theirs is no reason to compromise or settle for less than thriving in life.

The Modern Mystery School (MMS) consists of a group of individuals who have one unified mission i.e. creating World Peace on planet earth.

The school has been likened to a university for the soul, where the curriculum focuses on awakening and developing your highest potential, and on attaining divine awareness.
Through the power of activation, initiation and the wisdom of the lineage of King Salomon, the MMS provides the tools, teachings, healings, services, classes and programs that enable the student to transform themselves, coming into a state of truly knowing themselves.

To “Know Thyself” is the motto of MMS. The school facilitates this process by creating a sacred and safe space through which the student embarks on a journey of deep self-discovery by delving into the layers of themselves, so that they may come into awareness of their divine nature and purpose here on earth.

The purpose of the mystery tradition is the conscious realisation of one’s True Self and the connection to others, both physically and spiritually. With this expanded awareness comes the power to bridge spiritual energies into the physical world for healing and total transformation, at a personal and planetary level. Ultimately the MMS is about true service, which we know is the way back to the Divine.
